Arts in Worship Ministry

The purpose of the Arts in Worship Ministry is to provide ministry that will illuminate the preached Word of God by Pastor Kevin L. Adams, Sr., through singing, drama, dance, mime, and instrumental music. The ministry also seeks to solicit and utilize ideas from sources and resources within the church body.

Drama

Jesus used parables to explain to us what He wanted us to understand about the Him. Through earthly perspectives we gain heavenly insight. Our Drama Ministry follows the same pattern set by our risen Savior. As they act out real-life situations, we come to a deeper understanding of the truth behind the word that's being spoken. Acting is not just for television and movies; it's also for the OBC.

Dance

The scriptures reveal to us that David danced before the Lord with all his might (II Sam 6:14). Here at OBC we believe in sacred dance. This dance is an expression of worship that is holy, sanctified and dedicated unto God, and God alone. It is a form of worship that requires the giving of one's body as a living sacrifice, wholly acceptable unto God.

Usher's Ministry

The Usher's Ministry is a chosen ministry of servants for Christ and the church. The purpose of the ministry is to serve the worshipping congregation. The duties of an usher include meeting, greeting, and seating worshippers in the sanctuary; providing worshippers with church related materials and attending to the needs of the church leadership, members, and visitors.
